Quartz Sleeve Removal / Bulb Removal

CAUTION!

1) Disconnect power,

remove filter cover and

place upside down on

a stable surface.

4) Turn the Quartz

Sleeve Removal

Tool counter-

clockwise approxi-

mately

turn until

it stops. The Quartz

Sleeve is now

unlocked.

USE BLUE QUARTZ SLEEVE REMOVAL

TOOL TO LOOSEN OR RE-TIGHTEN

QUARTZ SLEEVE. NEVER FORCE

QUARTZ SLEEVE WITH BARE HANDS.

2) Lift and remove the

Blue Upper Center Tube

with Elbow.

Remove the Elbow.

5) Pull straight

6) To remove bulb,

upwards on

grasp bulb at base

unlocked Quartz

and pull straight

Sleeve.

Flex metal tabs on

socket outward to

help release bulb.

The quartz sleeve

removal tool is

molded in BLUE

material. It func-

tions as the Upper

Center Tube during

filter operation and

becomes the

QUARTZ SLEEVE

Removal Tool

when inverted.

3) Invert & place Blue Center Tube

back down over hex nut. It can

now be used as the removal tool.

INVERT

HEX NUT

7) Reverse order for

reassembly.

Lubricate O-Rings with

SILICONE GREASE

before reinserting and

turning Quartz Sleeve

to locked position.

Do not use

petroleum

based

lubricants.
