2. Create a folder in your device
You can store the karaoke song files in the existing folders of your device, or you can create new
folders to organize the karaoke songs according to types, genres, singers, etc. Connect your
iPod®, MP3 player, or other USB device to your PC using a USB cable.
For iPod®,
wait for the iTunes program to begin after connecting your iPod
o
In iTunes program, go to Edit - Preferences - iPod - Music. Then place check mark on
'Enable disc use' in the Options.
o
Next go to Start - My Computer in your PC. You will see your iPod as a Removable
drive in the list.
o
Double click on the Removable drive of iPod to open. Go to Files and click on New
folder (You can also right click in the drive and select New folder).
o
Type in a name for the new folder (for example, KARAOKE) and press ENTER.
For MP3 players or other USB devices, wait for the PC to recognize the device after connecting.

Go to Start - My Computer in your PC. You will now see the USB device as a
Removable drive.

Double click on the Removable drive to open. Go to Files and click on New folder
(You can also right click in the drive and select New folder).

Type in a name for the new folder (for example, KARAOKE) and press ENTER.
CAVS IPS-11G Karaoke Station can support up to 250 folders. Each folder can have 1,000
songs if stored under File Library menu program, and over 10,000 songs if stored under INX
menu system. The total number of songs that can be stored will depend on the capacity of
your device. For more information on INX menu system, please go to

device.
To disconnect your device from PC, follow the Safely Remove Hardware procedure of
Windows®.
Close all windows back to the Desktop and go to Start - My Computer.

Right click on the Removable drive of your device, and click on Eject.

The Removable drive will disappear from the list under My Computer. You
o
can now safely remove your device from the PC.
3. Prepare karaoke songs in your PC.
You can download the ready made MCG-MP3 files of karaoke songs from
into your PC. There are thousands of karaoke songs available for download. Also you can create
the MCG-MP3 files from CD+G discs that are available in most karaoke outlets using IPS
Manager program which can be downloaded from www.ipskaraoke.com.
How to download MCG-MP3 files of karaoke songs from www.ipskaraoke.com:
Go to

Save the downloaded song into your PC. The song will be saved as a ZIP file
o
(xxxxxxxx-mcg.zip).
In your PC, if you are using Windows XP, right click on the ZIP file and a menu
o
will appear. Click on "Extract to".
In the next window, specify the target folder, into which the unzipped file will be
o
stored, and click on Extract.
The MCG-MP3 file (xxxxxxxx-mcg.mp3) of the song will be unzipped and stored
o
in the target folder.
Note: If you are not using Windows XP, download Winzip or Tugzip program form
o
Internet to unzip the ZIP file.

4. Store karaoke songs
