3.1 Charge and Install Main Battery

1.
The Main Battery should arrive with the RoboReel fully charged. However, it is recommended that you charge the Battery
for a minimum of 6 hours prior to first using the Hose Reel.
CAUTION: Charge the Main Battery indoors only. The Battery is UL rated for Indoor Use Only.
2.
Use only the provided Main Battery Charger. Connect the charger to the Battery.
3.
The charger's LED indicator turns red when the charger is charging. The LED will show a flashing green when the Battery is
charged and when the charger is disconnected from the Battery.
4.
The Battery requires charging every approximately 60-90 days or after every 80-100 retractions. For optimal battery life, it is
recommended that the battery be charged every 30 days.
DANGER
: Do not override any safety mechanisms with the top cover removed. Doing so voids the warranty and could cause
personal injury or damage to the Hose Reel.
The following signs may indicate that the Main Battery needs to be charged:
2 faint musical tones play at the beginning of hose extraction.
The hose is difficult to extract.
The hose is slow retracting or stops retracting.
5.
Press the Top Cover Release button to unlock the Top Cover before removing it (See 1 in Figure 4a below).
6.
Lift Top Cover to remove (See 2 in Figure 4a).
7.
Slide the Main Battery into the battery compartment with the Great Stuff
Latch (See 1 in Figure 4a) will engage, locking the battery in place. A faint "ready-to-go" tune will play when inserting the fully
charged battery into the Hose Reel. An additional "dit-dit" tone will follow the "ready-to-go" tune when the battery is low.
8.
To remove the Main Battery for future charging, push the Battery Release Latch and pull up on the Battery to remove it (See
Figure 4b).
CAUTION: Use care when removing the Battery Release Latch because it can be a pinching hazard.
