self‐tune
is
a
continuous,
on
on‐line
algorithm
that
"observes"
the
measured
value
and
looks
for
oscillation
due
to
load
variations
or
set‐point
changes.
When
a
significant
pattern
is
recognized
the
tuning
parameters
are
automatically
adjusted.
When
Self‐tune
is
running
the
PI
parameters
(PB,
TI)
are
read
only
in
the
operator
menus.
The
type
of
automatic
tuning
available
depends
on
which
mode
the
controller
is
in
(Pressure
or
Non‐Pressure),
and
whether
the
control
is
manual
or
automatic.
