11. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem

If the sand is newly replaced, the undersized

Repairs on the pump should only be performed by professionally
trained, qualified technicians.
Solution
Backwash the filter.
Clean the hair and lint strainer.
Tighten hose clamps and connection fittings.
Unscrew the multi-port valve from tank cover and clean the
seal.
Check the seal, replace if needed.
Tighten clamp. DO NOT over tighten hose clamps
(35 in/lb max torque).
Check the socket and power cord.
Switch on the breaker. If it is immediately tripped again,
there is a defect in pump or controls.
Replace the pump/motor assembly.
Backwash several times until the backwash water is clear.
Purge into drainpipe for 30 seconds.
Check the separation wall for proper positioning.
Replace the filter bottom strainer.
While pump is running, loosen, but do not remove, one of
the screw-on transparent covers on the filter tank to allow
any trapped air to escape. Tighten the cover once all of the
air has escaped.
