Assembly Instructions
Estimated Assembly Time: 20 minutes
1. Remove the filter assembly from the package and untie the power cord.
2. Place the filter on a level surface.
3. Remove the clamps and disassemble the filter (Fig.1).
4. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the bulb housing.
5. Place the bulb into the socket.
6. Replace the bulb housing and re-assemble the filter.
7. Set the nozzle assembly to the "WORK" position.
8. Connect one end of a length of ¾ in. tubing (not included) to the nozzle marked "IN",
and the other end to the pump.
9. Connect another length of tubing to the nozzle marked "OUT". Attach the other end of
the tubing to a spitter, waterfall, fountain or other water feature directing the flow of
water back into the pond.
10. The filter is not designed to be submerged. Place the filter in a clean, dry area.
11. Connect the power cord to the power source.
12. This product is to be operated within the following
temperature range: 32°F - 95°F (0°C - 35°C).
Important Note:
This product is designed to prohibit operation unless it is fully assembled with the lamp base
screwed completely into the housing. UV rays are harmful to your eyes and skin. Do not attempt to operate this
product unless the lamp is completely assembled within the light housing.
Replacing the Bulb
UV light is invisible. The sterilizing power of the UV light should not be judged by observation. Normally, UV lamps
should be replaced after 4000 hours of operation.
To replace the bulb:
1. Disconnect the UV light from the power source.
2. Let the light cool, and then disassemble the filter as shown in Fig. 1.
3. Remove the bulb from the socket by pulling firmly on the base.
4. Replace the bulb with an approved UV bulb only.
5. Place the new bulb into the socket and place it back into the light housing.
6. Re-assemble the light before connecting to the power source.
7. When the pressure filters are operated, the middle connector should be in the "WORK" position (Fig. 2).
8. To clean the pressure bucket, turn the middle connector to the "CLEAN" position (see figure 3).
