During normal use, the ADF is to be thoroughly cleaned

Scanning certain documents may require more frequent cleaning *

Some examples are:

Carbonless paper

Paper with special coatings

Clean in direction of arrows using either

cotton swaps or wipes moistened with V1 cleaner

Pick Arm Rollers

Glass

Glass can become hot during use

Allow to cool before cleaning

Recommended Cleaning Interval

every 5,000 scans

Ultrasonic

Sensors

Handwritten documents

Glossy paper

Feed, Eject, Pinch and Pick Rollers

Turn by hand to access entire roller
