Troubleshooting
The whistling noise when spinning may be different to

your prevous washing machine which is due to the
modern drive system.
Certain problems etc.
If you call out an engineer and the fault is listed here, a charge is levied
even if the appliance is in guarantee.
If the error code (1 or (2 is displayed, check the troubleshooting
guide below before calling an engineer.
Display (1: see "No water flows in".
Display (2: see "Washing has not been spun sufficiently, ..." in the fault
finding table below.
After eliminating the error, press the START/PAUSE button. If the error
code is displayed again, please contact your local AEG Service Force
Centre.
Fault
Washing machine does
not work.
No water flows in.
Error code (1 appears.

Possible cause
The mains plug is not
connected.
The fuse of the household
electrical system is faulty.
The door is not correctly
closed.
START/PAUSE button not
pressed for long enough.
The water tap is closed.
The inlet hose is blocked.
Remedy
Plug in the mains plug.
Replace the fuse.
Close the door; you must
hear a click as it locks.
Press the START/PAUSE
button until the program
starts.
Open the water tap.
Unscrew the hose from the
tap, remove the filter and
clean it under flowing water.
