Before start-up
Caution
• Read this manual thoroughly and strictly follow the instructions
contained herein and those in the user manual for the machine
on which the engine is installed.
• FOR THE FIRST 50 HOURS OF OPERATION, DO NOT USE
POWER GREATER THAN 70% OF THE MAXIMUM.
• Failure to heed this warning will void the warranty.
• Check the coolant and engine oil levels.
Handling
• To lift and handle the SILENCE, only use the engine hooks
that can be reached through the cover openings as shown in
the following illustration.
Danger
The eye bolts and holes are sized only to lift the PARTLY
COMPLETED MACHINE. It is forbidden to use the eye bolt
to life the final machine in which the PARTLY COMPLETED
MACHINE is incorporated or to move the PARTLY
COMPLETED MACHINE with additional components
installed.

BEFORE START-UP
• Make sure the electrical system is properly connected.
• Make sure the side inspection hatches are closed and locked
with the handles.
• Check that both vertical support bars have been removed
(see section "Handling").
