local or remote IP connections
The CPS technology delivers centralised access
and control through IP connection to serial-
based devices. Serial Over IP technology
extends switching solutions to a wide range
of data centre devices, including Sun servers,
routers, power management devices, firewalls
and Ethernet switches.
With its slim design, two CPS units mounted
side-by-side on a 1U high, 19 inch rack mount
shelf provides up to 32 console port connections,
making the CPS ideal for use with high-density
servers and communication devices. The CPS
works with the DSView Windows application
to provide simpler access and easier ownership
of your network.
CPS810 has 8 ports for attachment to console
ports of devices such as server and routers,
and can host 8 simultaneous Telnet sessions
CPS1610 has 16 ports for attachment to console
ports of devices such as servers and routers,
and can host 16 simultaneous Telnet sessions.

DS View
The cornerstone of the DS Series, DSView is
a Windows application that provides point-and-
click control of devices connected to a DS
Series appliance (DSR range, DS1800, CPS).
DSView uses industry standard TCP/IP
(Ethernet) connections and DES encryption
to transmit KVM signals and provides IT
administrators with a consolidated view of all
connected data centre devices via the DSR,
DS1800 and CPS network appliances.
