Adjusting the subwoofer

Press and hold [–SUBWOOFER] (main unit: press
[SUBWOOFER]).
Current setting appears on the display.

Press [–SUBWOOFER] (main unit: press [SUBWOOFER])
to change the setting.
Every time you press the button:

Using the Dolby Pro Logic II
Except
DivX
Dolby Pro Logic II is an advanced decoder that derives
5-channel surround (Left and Right Front, Center, Left and
Right Surround) from any stereo program materials, whether or
not it has been specifically Dolby Surround encoded.
Press [%PLII].
The "%PLII" indicator lights up when there is effect.
( page 21, On-Screen Menu 3 (Audio)).
Note

This function in only available for DVD/CD and USB mode.
•
You can adjust the volume of the surround speakers to get
the best surround effect ( see right).
Using the Center Focus
This applies to discs where the dialog is recorded in the center
channel.
You can make the sound of the center speaker seem like it is
coming from within the television.
Press [C.FOCUS].
The "C.F" indicator lights up.
Every time you press the button:
C. FOCUS ON C. FOCUS OFF

This works only during 5.1 channel or when Dolby Pro Logic II

is turned on.

You can adjust the volume of the surround speakers to get
the best surround effect ( see right).
You can adjust the surround sound levels.
Preparation
1. Press [+ VOL –] to adjust the volume to normal listening

for each speaker. (CENTER, SURROUND RIGHT,

To exit the screen, press [SETUP].
Press [CH SELECT] to select the speaker.

SW: Subwoofer
•
You can adjust SW (Subwoofer) only if the disc includes a
subwoofer channel.
•
"SW" does not appear on the display and is not adjustable
when Dolby Pro Logic II is turned on.
•
"S" appears on the display when "MUSIC" or "MOVIE"
is selected with Super Surround or Surround Enhancer
( page 28). In this case, you can adjust both surround
speaker levels using [e,r].
S: –6dB to +6dB
Press [e] (increase) or [r] (decrease) to adjust the
speaker level for each speaker.
C, RS, LS, SW: –6dB to +6dB
(L, R: Only the balance is adjustable.)
•
To adjust the balance of the front speakers
While "L" or "R" is selected, press [w, q].
