Theory of Operation

TekTone

NC110, NC150 and NC200 nurse call systems utilize

a lamp select line (wire) to indicate a call on the system. When

idle, these lamp select wires show a +24VDC potential, and

when a call is placed they show a voltage drop of at least

12VDC. This drop, and whether it remains low or pulses, is

used by the interface to determine the call type and priority.

The unit will indicate whether it is a routine level call or a

priority call.
