Drop the hook to the bottom first.

The lower row shows the depth from top.

At the same time, the present depth is 0.0m. When the reel
winds up, it becomes a positive count indicating the depth from
the bottom.
For the remaining depth, once it
reaches less than 10m, depth
indication will be switched to Top
