Installations in a parking deck
When installing VersiCharge devices in a parking deck, the key challenge is signal blocking by
the building.
There are several possible scenarios for installing a VersiCharge in a parking deck:
• Figure 4-8: If the wireless signal strength in the parking lot is sufficient, a parent device
can be installed and connected to the internet via mobile wireless. The parent device
supports up to nine commercial child devices via Wi-Fi; these are located at a distance of
up to 150 ft (45 meters) (line of sight) from the parent device. Walls or other obstructions
reduce the Wi-Fi signal strength; this means you should conduct a location audit to ensure
connectivity with the parent device (see Feasibility (Page 27)).
