INSTALLING THE FUSER OIL
UNIT
Note
❒ There are two of them.

The fuser oil unit is placed on the fusing unit shown in the

Open the front cover slowly by pulling down from
the two areas on the left and right.
Release the green screw that is fastening the
fusing unit.

Remove the packing material.
Note
❒ Use a coin (A) to release the screw.
❒ The screw cannot be detached.
Open the Bypass Tray.
Holding the handle, pull the fusing unit slowly until
it stops.

Open the right cover of the printer by pushing up
the handle.
Take out the new fuser oil unit from the bag.
Remove the covering paper, the seals, and then
the fitting.

Remove the packing materials by holding the red
tags as shown in the illustration.

❒ If you cannot remove it easily, pull it out with a
little force.

B Remove the seal B slowly by turning the fuser oil unit.

place to avoid an oil leak.

Be careful not to get it on your hands or clothes.
Holding the green part at the center of the fuser
oil unit, align the shaft of the fuser oil unit with
the metal holder of the fusing unit (A), and then
set the fusing oil unit firmly by rotating it to the
direction of the arrow (B).

Slide the paper tray completely into the printer.

❒ Be sure to insert the paper tray completely.
Otherwise, misfeeds might occur, or the front cover
might touch the paper tray.
