SUBJECT: Troubleshooting for the bent image and/or skewed images.

Solution:

1) Bent image

Technical Bulletin

When checking the copy image during the installation, confirm that the

developer initial setting (SP65) has been properly performed.

1. Open the exit cover.

2. Reposition the front and rear pressure springs [A and B] from "b"

to "a" as shown below.

3. Close the exit cover.

4. Open the upper unit.

5. Apply the Mobil Temp 78 to the area between the front side fusing

pressure lever [C] and fusing unit side frame as shown below.

CAUTION: Make sure not to bend the lever.

6. Close the upper unit and check the copy quality.

NOTE:

If the bent image still appears, check for paper skewing and

perform the procedure in this RTB on page 4 to 9.
