Sound recording
(Simultaneous audio/video)
Sound is recorded simultaneously with the
video
portion through the built-in
microphone.
Because this mic
is
a uni-directional
monaural
type, precise recording of the
scene's
subject is
possible.
When to use
an external microphone (op-
tional)
If you
are
concerned
about extraneous noises
being recorded, such
as when shooting in
quiet
indoor scenes or in windy conditions
outdoors,
using one
of
the optional external
microphones (ECM-K100
or ECM-2300) and ex-
ternal microphone shoe (SAD-100)
are recom-
mended you to ach ieve
superior results.
The
built-in
mic is automatically
disconnected
when an external microphone is plugged into
the MIC
jack.
