Connecting the
Stereo
Use the illustrations below to connect your
stereo.
If you want to connect any optional
components to the stereo, see "Connecting
Optional Equipment" in Chapter 7.
If you set up the stereo system vertically
Be sure to place the Amplifier/Tuner on
top of the CD player/Tape Deck.
Caution
Place the main unit so that there are no
obstructions blocking the ventilation duct
on the rear panel.

Flat Cords
Connect the supplied flat cords to SYSTEM
CONTROL connectors of the same color by
pressing the centre of the flat cord
connector until it clicks into place.

To disconnect the flat cords
Pull out the flat cord connector while
pressing in on the sides. Do not pull the flat
cord itself.

Connecting the
Speakers
First prepare both ends of the speaker
cables, then connect all speakers to the unit.
Before connecting the speakers
Twist the speaker cable coating and strip it
from the end of the cable.

To connect the front speakers
Connect the right front speaker to the
FRONT SPEAKER R connectors and the left
front speaker to the FRONT SPEAKER L
connectors with the red cords to ® and the
black cords to ©.
To connect the center speaker
Connect the center speaker to the CENTER
SPEAKER + and CENTER SPEAKER -
connectors with the gray cord to ® and the
black cord to ©.
To put the center speaker on your TV set,
attach a toot (supplied) to each bottom
corner of the speaker, and make sure that
the speaker is completely flat on top of the
TV.

To connect the rear speakers
Connect the right rear speaker to the REAR
SPEAKER R connectors and the left rear
speaker to the REAR SPEAKER L
connectors with the gray cord to ® and the
black cord to ©.
