Falling Asleep to

Music

You can set the stereo system to turn off

automatically so you can go to sleep to

music.

Before setting the sleep timer, make sure

the clock has been set correctly.

POWER—ON

1 Play your favourite sound source (a

tape, an MD, the tuner or a CD).

2 Press SLEEP while the source is playing

to choose how long you want the music

to play.

"SLEEP" and the minutes indication

appear in the display. As you press

SLEEP, the indication decreases by ten

minutes from 90 to 10.

The power will turn off after 90 to 10

minutes depending on the length of time

you chose.

90min — 80min — ...— 10min — OFF

To cancel the sleep timer

Set the timer to "OFF".

To check the remaining time before

the sleep timer turns off the system

Press SLEEP once.

The remaining time in minutes is displayed

for several seconds.

To change the remaining time while

the sleep timer is in operation

Press SLEEP repeatedly and select the

remaining time you want.

To turn off the system before the

sleep timer turns off the system

Press SYSTEM POWER.

Waking Up to Music

You can wake up to music at a preset time.

You need only set the timer once.

You can select the DAILY timer which is

activated every day and the ONCE timer

which is activated just once.

Before setting the timer

1 Make sure the clock is set correctly.

2 Set the condition of the sound when the

power turns on.

To wake up by the sound of the tuner,

tune in the preset station you want to

hear beforehand.

1 Press TIMER SET.

The ONCE, DAILY and REC TIMER

indicators flash and "Select timer"

flashes in the display.

2 Press DAILY or ONCE.

The indicator for DAILY or ONCE lights

up. The hour digits flash in the display.

3 Set the hour you want the music to go

on by pressing TUNER/TIMER (+/-),

then press MEMORY/NEXT. Set the

minutes the same way.

The hour digits flash again.
