The radio announces the current Top Button feature and
prompts you to change it:

Note:
The default function of Top Button is "Private Reply".
Max Channel
Press [+] or [-] to change
the Top Button feature.
Top Button
"Programmable Button
<Top Button Feature>. To

change, press [+] or [-]."
Press Channel/Menu button
to proceed to the next Advanced
Menu option.
Long press PTT to
exit Advanced
Menu Mode.
