Approvals

This section provides information on the Approval of the MC3 PCI card, and information that

may affect the Approval status of the card in use. Failure to use the MC3 PCI card in accordance

with any of these instructions may invalidate the Approval for connection. Further details are

given in the appendix.

5.1

Safety Information

There are four electrical interconnection ports on the card. These ports have the following safety

status :

Interconnection Circuits should be such that the equipment continues to comply with the

requirement of sub clause 2.3 for SELV circuits of EN60950 :1993/A3 :1995 after making

interconnections between circuits.

Wichtige Sicherheitshinweise

The MC3 PCI card has been reviewed for safety compliance against the following regulations:

5.2

EMC Approvals

The card has been tested for compliance with the following EMC regulations in conjunction

with a PC that was in itself compliant. This does not guarantee that every EMC compliant PC

will remain compliant when used with the card.

If there is doubt regarding the EMC performance of a particular system, the user is advised to

obtain competent advice, and possibly systems testing for EMC.

5.3

Approved Functionality

Details of the approved functionality are included in the section 'Country Specific Information'.

5.4

Approval Label

When the card has been installed in a host computer, it is still only the card that is approved.

The Approval label must not be attached to the host.
