FTEC series
Installation and Mounting Instructions
CAUTION:
●
FTEC series must only be installed by qualified specialists in observation of the
respective national power−supply guidelines.
●
All safety measures and the electrical contact protection in the connection area
is to be ensured through proper installation.
●
The technical specifications on the name plate must be observed.
●
Operational reliability of the Fan Filter is to be insured by an operation test.
●
FTEC series must not be repaired.
●
FTEC series must not be blocked.
FEATURES & INSTRUCTIONS:
●
FTEC series protection types include NEMA 12 (IP 54 or IP 55) and
NEMA 3R (IP 55).
FM-4 series filter mat guarantees IP54 Ingress Protection.
●
●
FM-5 series filter mat guarantees IP55 Ingress Protection.
●
To maintain a high performance of all filter media, it is necessary to
periodically check the filter mats.
Both FM-4 and FM-5 series are washable to a limited extent.
●

The filter mats can be easily cleaned by washing, beating, or
spraying, and then re-used. Even after washing, the filter mats remain
dimensionally stable, thus retaining their technical filtering properties.
The fire class remains unaltered.

NOTE: Do not rub or wring out.
●
Fan Filters and Exhaust Filters snap into the mounting cut out without using
any screws.

Prepare cut-out hole per
installation cut out table.
Place fan filter or exhaust filter into
cut-out hole and push the filter so
that the filter bottom clamp is fixed
into enclosure cut-out.
Snap into panel cut-out by using
a proper screwdriver to click all
clips gently into enclosure cut-out.

Open the filter face by using a
screwdriver and remove filter mat.
Insert bottom clip first.
Place filter mat inside filter housing
then insert filter louvre into filter
body and ensure that they snap
tightly together.
