3. Check to see that the condensing unit is plugged into
the electrical box located in the lower housing.
4. Disconnect the condensing unit plug and plug it into an
external power supply.
5. Verify the condensing unit is operating correctly. Check
the following:
• The compressor should be vibrating slightly.
• The discharge line, the lower copper tubing from the
compressor, should heat up. Caution: This tube may
be very hot. Do not manually touch the tube.
• The copper tube located above the discharge line
should become cool.
• The compressor should not make much noise.
6. Disconnect the condensing unit from the external
power supply and plug it back into the electrical box
located in the lower housing.
7. Plug the cart into the proper power source.
8. Open the cart door.
9. Ve rify the condensing unit is ope rating co rre ct l y, a c co rd -
ing to step 5. If not, check for power at the elect ri cal box .
10. Close the door and allow cart to reach operating
temperature.
11. Check the compressor's duty cycle (the amount of time
the compressor is operating verses the time it is off).
The compressor should be on 70% of the time and 30%
off. If not, a refrigeration technician should verify a
refrigerant charge of one pound.
COIL DRAIN TEST PROCEDURE
1. Unplug cart before attempting this procedure.
2. Remove the two rack/air ducts.
3. Remove the inside top access panel.
4. Remove the bottom left access panel.
5 . Pour some water into the drain pan located under the co i l .
6. Check to see if the water drains down into the conden-
sate evaporator pan. If not, the tubing is plugged and
must be cleaned out.
7. Check the two clamps on the plastic tubing attaching
the coil drain pan to the copper tubing leading to the
condensate evaporator pan for any leaks.
