Cleaning, Maintenance,
Troubleshooting and Storage
Cleaning
We recommend using the following cleaning chemicals on your bedside mat:
• Lysol
IC Quaternary Cleaner Disinfectant
®
• Clean Quick Broad range Sanitizer
• Q-128 Quaternary Disinfectant
Other disinfectants may cause staining or damage to the product and void the warranty.
Be sure to follow the manufacturer's recommended procedures when using these
chemicals (trademarks and service marks used in this section are the property of their
respective owners).
Maintenance
Inspect the product for damage before each use and do not use it if it appears to be
damaged or not functioning properly. When not in use, store the product out of the way
and ensure it is not a tripping hazard for residents and caregivers.
Troubleshooting
If your system does not function properly when tested, follow these steps:
• Verify the Attendant Alarm/Alert battery is fully charged; if using the optional AC adapter,
verify it is plugged into both the Alarm/Alert and the AC outlet
• Verify the Attendant Protector Foldable Bedside Mat cord is plugged securely into the
Attendant Alarm/Alert
• If using an Attendant Economy Pad Alarm, verify the On/Off switch is in the
"On" position
• If the system still does not function properly, determine which piece of equipment is
faulty by either:
- Connecting a known functioning Attendant Alarm/Alert to the potentially faulty
Attendant Protector – if the system works properly, the problem is with the original
Attendant Alarm/Alert
- Connecting a known functioning Attendant Protector Foldable Bedside Mat to the
potentially faulty Attendant Alarm/Alert – if the system works properly, the problem is
with the original Attendant Protector Foldable Bedside Mat
