3. Insert Desiccant

• Is the seal cracked or damaged?

• Is the seal twisted or out of position?

• Is the seal free of hair, dust, sand, and

other foreign objects?

Is the seal backing free of hair, dust, sand, and

other foreign objects?

To prevent condensation from forming inside

the case, insert the silica gel desiccant between

the bottom of the camera and the case. Slide

the desiccant to the front of the case, where it

will not interfere with proper closure. Improper

placement could cause the case to leak.

Replacing the Desiccant

Used desiccant loses its ability to absorb moisture.

We recommend replacing the desiccant each

time the FJ-CP1 is used (

19).
