Introduction:

If your Ford, Lincoln, Mercury or Jaguar has optional/remote CD changer in

trunk, armrest or hatch; the A2D-FRDW upgrades vehicle to support modern

media formats via Bluetooth. Bluetooth wireless connection means no wires,

clutter or complicated setup. Simply pair smartphone or tablet and enjoy

Navigation, audio books and other important apps on the car system. All controls

and display remain with audio device – Ford radio controls (except volume) do

not apply.

The A2D-FRDW requires and retains Ford remote CD changer

built-into radio is not external or remote)

No more wires dangling from the dash, just pair-up and jam!

Installation:

(To 12-pin plug at changer location)

This module connects to the 12-pin CD changer plug in remote location

which means

radio removal not required.

Locate CD changer 12-pin plug (See Fig. 2), press release tab (See Fig.

1) and disconnect (See Fig. 1)

2. Connect factory 12-pin plug (from step 1) to installation harness 12-pin

connector (See Fig. 3).

3. Connect installation harness 12-pin plug to CD changer (See Fig. 2)

4. Connect/tap red wire to a 12V accessory/switched power supply in

vehicle.

Warning: Accessory wire should not be connected to battery (always

on) supply.

5. Secure module and move on to next step.
