AUX-JAGR Installation

Warning: The AUX-JAGR applies to 1997*-06 XK (X100) and 1998-03 XJ

(X308) Premium or Standard audio system and connects to CD changer plug

in trunk/boot only. Does not function if connected to radio. Do not ignore this

warning.

Tip: 2000- Up with subwoofer mounted on shelf; indicated vehicle has amplifier and

considered Premium audio system. The following will also help determine if vehicle

has a Premium or Standard audio system:

Go to trunk (boot) and remove driver side brake light cover

Remove carpet trim piece surrounding audio rack. The surround is

usually not secured. Simply gasp top edge and pull down and away.

Audio rack may include a CD changer, Navigation DVD, Amplifier etc. (See

Fig. 13)

If checking for CD changer, simple look for CD door which is visible

without removing trim.

Accessing CD changer plug (See Fig. 14) requires removing audio rack

(XJ). XK vehicles may require additional steps not part of this guide.

Remove (4) 8mm nuts to move rack forward and allow clear access to

the CD plug.

2. The CD changer has a single (thick black) cable which connects to the

amplifier (premium system) or to Radio (standard system). See Fig. 14

3. Remove cable from holding tab and disconnect from factory plug by

gasping terminals and gently pulling apart.

4. Female terminal (from changer) (right) and Male plug (left) to amplifier

or radio (See Fig. 15)
