TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Issue:
W iring Fault LED is illuminated.
AC Mains outlet is wired incorrectly.
Possible Cause:
Action Needed:
Contact a certified electrician to inspect the building's wiring.
Issue:
No power to the AC outlets.
Possible Cause:
Circuit breaker has tripped due to excessive load.
Remove one piece of equipment from the ETA-C15D, and push the breaker reset tab located on the front
Action Needed:
panel.
Note: We suggest first locating the highest power-consumer such as a power amplifier and disconnecting
or turning down that unit. If the ETA-C15D breaker continues to trip, relocating some of the gear may be
required.
Issue:
N o power to the AC outlets, "Abnormal Voltage" indicator is illuminated, the Volt Meter is Flashing and you
hear a buzzer from the unit.
Possible Cause:
The AC Mains Voltage exceeded 132VAC or the voltage dropped below 101VAC
Measure the AC Mains before the ETA-C15D. If the voltage is between 117VAC and 123VAC you may proceed
Action Needed:
to reset the ETA-C15D by restarting the start up sequence.
Note: It is important to have all equipment that was connected to that AC Mains Line to be inspected for
proper operation. If the problem persists, contact your local power company for the cause of unstable AC line
conditions.
A bnormal LED Flashing and you have power to all outlets.
Issue:
Possible Cause:
The AC Mains Voltage exceeded 128VAC or the voltage dropped below 107VAC
Action Needed:
T he ETA-C15D must be reset to turn off the LED. Measure the AC Mains before the ETA-C15D. If the voltage
is between 117VAC and 123VAC you may proceed to reset the ETA-C15D by cycling the Power Switch off /
on.
Note: It is important to have all equipment that was connected to that AC Mains Line inspected for proper
operation. If the problem persists, contact your local power company for the cause of unstable AC line
conditions.
A C Fault LED is Flashing, a buzzer is sounding and you have no power at any outlets.
Issue:
Possible Cause:
Although the Dual Clamping Suppression (DCS) circuit virtually assures protection from most transient voltage
spikes and surges, nature has a way of occasionally creating electrical forces that are beyond the capabilities
of any device to absorb without some degree of damage. In the rare instance that this occurs, the DCS circuit
has been damaged during the suppression.
If this happens, the ETA-C15D will shut off and the unit will need to be repaired or replaced. It is important to
Action Needed:
have all equipment that was connected to that AC Mains Line inspected for proper operation.
