Please read the following instructions carefully in order to understand all

the features of your hearing instrument. This will ensure that it will

always function to your entire satisfaction.

Your hearing aid has been adjusted in accordance with your individual

hearing loss.

Please note: A hearing aid will not restore your hearing; however, when

fitted properly and used regularly, it will improve your communication

ability. Your hearing aid may only be a part of your hearing rehabilitation.

You may also need auditory training and instructions in lip reading. For

further information, please contact your hearing aid professional.

Children With Hearing Loss

In addition to seeing a physician for a medical evaluation, a child with a

hearing loss should be directed to an audiologist for evaluation and

rehabilitation since hearing loss may cause problems in language

development and the educational growth of a child. An audiologist is

qualified by training and experience to assist in the evaluation and

rehabilitation of a child with a hearing loss.
