Powering Down the TerraMiner

Disconnect the power cords from the back of the device, or switch off the power at the wall outlet if you
have switched outlets. The TerraMiner should be located near the power outlets. To disconnect the
TerraMiner, always disconnect both power supply cords.
Do not power down the TerraMiner while a firmware update or Factory Restore
is in progress.

Security Advisories

Network

Please be aware that if the TerraMiner is exposed on a network (either LAN or Internet) which is
accessible to other users and devices it may be possible for the TerraMiner to be identified and accessed
on the network. Always ensure that the network is adequately protected (i.e. the TerraMiner is secured
behind a firewall), and that an Admin password is set (see the Web Panel Configuration instructions.) If
the network router has a

If the TerraMiner is hosted at a data center or other remote location please
ensure that it has been properly protected and its IP address is not exposed on
the open Internet. You may need to request this option from your provider.

Physical

Please be aware that if the TerraMiner is located in a place where it could be physically accessed by
others, it is possible for the TerraMiner to be restored to factory default settings (see the Factory
Restore instructions) and new login, mining and network information could be entered. Please ensure
that the TerraMiner is kept in a secure location if this is of concern.
