Regular inspection
and maintenance
To be undertaken by a qualified technician.
The following list describes what has to be done during
the maintenance of dormakaba door systems. Always
consider the mounting and operation instructions
during maintenance.
Please observe the requirements for fire doors,
emergency exits and escape routes during inspection, if
applicable. The current state of technology has to be
taken into consideration when assessing the door
system with regard to safety-related questions.
Note down any safety-relevant error/deficit in the log
book and on the performance sheet. The inspector
must note down the scope, results and date of the
inspections and the facility operator has to keep these
documents for at least one year.

Revolving door systems
1. Check the operator for leaks and unusual noise
2. Check the toothed belt for defects and tension;
retighten or replace it if necessary
3. Check all the control and operating elements;
adjust, repair or replace them if necessary
4. Check all the safety devices; adjust, repair or
replace them if necessary
5. Check the additional options: night closing,
emergency power supply, door-panel lock,
locking, etc.
6. Check the electrical voltages
7. Measure the operating forces check the deviation
from the measurement during the initial
commissioning
8. Check the wiring, screw connections and safety
distances
9. Check the condition of the sash, panel filling and
curved side wall
10. Check all the door functions; for doors in escape
and rescue routes: check the escape route
functions, as well
11. Check the wear parts, such as the slip ring, rollers,
batteries, etc; replace them if necessary (observe
the complete wear part list)
12. Check the necessary markings on the door,
warning labels, information labels, stickers
Please note we recommend that revolving doors are
inspected at least once a year and revolving doors
which are emergency exits or escape routes are
inspected twice a year
13. Review and update the inspection and maintenance
work in the inspection logbook
