4. Special safety precautions
• Risk of injury due to rotating shafts
Hair and clothes may become tangled in rotating shafts.
Switch off overall operating voltage and ensure machinery is idle.
• Risk of explosion
Do not use the tachogenerator with explosive and/or highly inflammable
materials. It may explode and/or catch fire by possible spark formation.
• Risk of destruction due to mechanical shock
Violent shocks, e.g. due to hammer impacts, can lead to the destruction of
the tacho generator. Never use force. Installation is simple when following
the correct procedure. Use suitable puller to uninstall.
• Risk of destruction due to contamination
Dirt and dust penetrating inside the tachogenerator can cause damage.
• Warning! Danger of electric shock!
Electrical connection only when machinery is idle!
Make sure all related equipment is not live prior to perform any installation
work!
• Observe the specifications in the product data sheet.
4.1. Important
• Avoid axial shaft loads.
• Admitted humidity max. 90 % (no condensation).
