rotate the pump out. Leave the electrical wiring and the
pump tube connected to the pump. The gravity drain
hose (which leads down from the catch basin) will
come free easily.
To maintain and clean the pump, remove the four
screws holding the pump cover to the catch basin.
Clean the catch basin and float shaft. Pay particular
attention to the float shaft, because it can cause the
pump to overflow if it sticks in the off position.

Any debris in the gravity drain hose leading down
from the catch basin can be cleaned with a pipe clean-
er.
When returning the pump to its operating position,
make sure the gravity drain hose is positioned in the
receiving hole in the pump. Also make sure the elec-
trical wiring and pump tube are still secure.
