INSERTING / CHANGING BATTERIES
Before you use the product for the first time, pull the insulation strip
out of the battery compartment to activate the batteries.
If the performance of the LEDs diminishes, the batteries should be
replaced.
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts are clean
and clean them if necessary.
1. Hold the product securely by the middle part (2) and unscrew
the top part (1) by twisting anticlockwise.
2. If you are replacing the batteries, take out the used batteries.
3. Insert three new batteries (1.5 V each). Ensure the correct
polarity (+ / –).
4. Screw the top part clockwise onto the middle part and screw
together hand-tight.
INSTALLATION AND USE
Please Note!
The product fits in standard sinks based on the EU standard.
The LEDs light up on contact with water.
The product must be adjusted so that the cleaning block holder
forms a flush connection with the eccentric rod in the drain. This
ensures that the drain can be opened and closed.
Do not press on the product to seal the drain! The height of the
product could be adjusted. Only open and close the drain using
the eccentric mechanism.
The film around the cleaning block is water-soluble and does
not need to be removed.
In spite of correct adjustment of the height, the product may
protrude further out of the drain in comparison to conventional
drain plugs.
It is possible that the water will drain away more slowly than with
conventional drain plugs.
1. Remove the previous drain plug from the sink.
2. Adjust the height of the product to suit the drain. To do this,
pull the cleaning block holder out of the top part of the drain
plug until the height you want is reached.
3. Place the product in the drain.
4. When the cleaning block is used up, replace it.

DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner so that it can be recycled.
The adjacent symbol (crossed-out bin underlined) means
that used devices should not be disposed of in the domestic
waste, but should instead be taken to special collection and
return systems.
Owners of used devices from private households can take
them free of charge to the collection points of the public
waste disposal authorities or the disposal points which are
set up by manufacturers and distributors under the Electrical
Equipment Act. Businesses which market electrical and elec-
tronic devices are also obliged to take back used devices.
Non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries must not be
disposed of along with the household waste. Consumers are
legally obliged to separate and recycle non-rechargeable
and rechargeable batteries.
Non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries can be taken
free of charge to a collection point of your local authority/
district or in shops so that they can be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly way and valuable raw materials can
be recovered. If they are not disposed of properly, toxic
ingredients may enter the environment and have harmful
effects on people, animals and plants.
Only dispose of non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries
when they are discharged.
With non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries that
contain lithium, cover the poles before disposing of them
to prevent a short circuit. A short circuit may cause a fire or
explosion.
