Intended Use
The solar light is intended to be used for decorating outside
spaces. Its battery charges up in daylight via the solar panel.
This stored energy allows the LEDs to glow in the dark.
The article is designed for personal use only and is not intend-
ed for commercial applications. The article should only be used
as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed to
be improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.
The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects
caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-
tempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
The article is not a toy. Do not leave children and animals un-
supervised with the article, in order to avoid injuries!
WARNING – Danger of Suffocation! Keep the packaging ma-
terial and small components of the article well away from chil-
dren and animals.
CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid! If the bat-
tery leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear
protective gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse
the affected area with abundant fresh water immediately and
contact a doctor as soon as possible.
Protect the article from naked fl ames and impact.
Never immerse the article in water or other liquids. It is only
resistant to splashing.
During extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or if the
article will not be used for a long time, switch it off and store it
in a dry place.
Do not disassemble the article! Have any repairs done only by
a specialist workshop or the customer service department. The
LEDs can't be replaced.
The solar lamp should not be placed near to other light sources
such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be
switched on automatically.
Keep the solar panel clean so that the greatest possible ab-
sorption of light is ensured. Wipe down the solar panel (and if
necessary also the remaining components of the article) with a
damp cloth. Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning
agents to clean the article! They could damage the surfaces.

Putting Into Operation
The battery has to be charged before the LEDs can light up. To
make sure that the battery lasts for as long as possible, it should
be fully charged (around 6 - 8 hours).
1. Unpack the items supplied and check them for completeness
and for possible transport damage. In the event of transport
damage, please contact the customer service department.
2. Remove any protective foil (e.g. from the solar panel) and stick-
ers.
3. Place the solar light in a location where its solar panel can ab-
sorb as much direct sunlight as possible.
4. Press the ON / OFF switch in order to activate the solar unit. In
order to check if the solar light is switched on during the day-
light, cover the solar panel with your hand. If the LEDs light up,
the solar light is activated.
The battery can now charge up in daylight. When darkness
sets in, the LEDs automatically switch on. When it gets light,
the LEDs switch off and the battery is charged up via the solar
panel.
5. When you are not using it, switch the article off (press the
ON / OFF switch) and store it in a dry place that is protected
from sunlight and is not accessible to children and animals.

The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to a
recycling centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly manner
at a recycling centre for used electrical and electronic de-
vices. It should not be disposed of in the normal household
waste. For more information, contact your local authorities.
Rechargeable batteries should be removed before the arti-
cle is disposed of and should be disposed of separately from
the article. To protect the environment, batteries may not be
disposed of with the normal household waste, but must be
taken to suitable collection points. Note the relevant statu-
tory regulations governing the disposal of batteries!
Removing the Battery: Release the screws of the solar unit and
remove the cover. You can now remove the batteries.
