Alarm Mode

Using the Alarms
❚ Alert Types
You can configure an alarm with an hour and minute, as well as a
text message (up to eight characters long).
You can configure an alarm to perform either of the two following
alert operations.
• Beeper Alert
Signals arrival of an alarm time with a beeper.
• Silent Alert
Signals arrival of an alarm time with a flashing display
indicator.
• See "To turn an alarm on and off, and select an alert type" for
information about using alerts.
• If you specify message text, the message is displayed for one
minute in the Timekeeping Mode when the alarm time is reached.
❚ Alarm Types
This watch has five alarms: four daily alarms and one snooze
alarm.
Daily Alarm (AL1 to AL4)
The alert operation is performed for 10 seconds when the
alarm time is reached.
Snooze Alarm (SNOOZE)
With the snooze alarm, the alert operation is performed for 10
seconds when the alarm time is reached, and up to seven
times at five-minute intervals thereafter. Pressing any button
stops the alert operation, but the alert operation will start
again after five minutes.

❚ To set an alarm time

A beeper sounds for 10 seconds when the alarm time is

• The applicable alarm indicator flashes while the beeper is
sounding.
• If there is message text, it appears on the Timekeeping
Mode screen for one minute.
• Silent Alert On
The applicable alarm indicator flashes on the display, without
sounding the beeper.
• If there is message text, it appears on the Timekeeping
Mode screen for one minute.
❚ To test the beeper alert
In the Alarm Mode, hold down the D button to sound the beeper.
