EXOS SETUP: TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Gear shifts not working
• Derailleur cables sticking,
properly
stretched or damaged
• Front or rear derailleur not
adjusted properly
• Indexed shifting not adjusted

Slipping chain
• Excessively worn or shipped chain
ring or freewheel sprocket teeth
• Chain work or stretched
• Stiff link in chain
• Non-compatible chain, chain ring
or freewheel
Chain jumping off freewheel
• Chain ring out of true
sprocket or chain ring
• Chain ring loose
• Chain ring teeth bent or broken
• Rear or front derailleur side-to-
side travel out of adjustment
Constant clicking noises
• Stiff chain link
when pedaling
• Loose pedal axle, bearings
• Loose bottom bracket axle,
bearings
• Bent bottom bracket or pedal
axle
• Loose crankset
Grinding noise when
