Virtual COM Port Driver Installation for Windows 2000
Follow these steps in install the Windows 2000 VCOM driver:
1.
Connect the USB cable between the host computer and the converter. If using a self-
powered converter turn on the input power source.
2.
Windows will open a "Found New Hardware Wizard" window. Click Next to continue.
3.
Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)" and click Next.
4.
Select "Specify a location" and click Next.
5.
Click Browse to locate the "bdmrbus.inf" driver installation file. The default location is
the "C:\BaudMaster\BMUSB" directory. Once this file is selected click OK.
6.
Verify that the correct path and filename are shown and click Next.
7.
Click Finish to finish installing the "BaudMaster USB Composite Device".
8.
Windows will open a second "Found New Hardware Wizard" window. Click Next to
continue.
9.
Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended)" and click Next.
10. Select "Specify a location" and click Next.
11. Click Browse to locate the "bdmrw2k.inf" driver installation file. The default location is
the "C:\BaudMaster\BMUSB" directory. Once this file is selected click OK.
12. Verify that the correct path and filename are shown and click Next.
13. Click Finish to finish installing the "BaudMaster USB to UART Bridge Controller".

Follow these steps in install the Windows 98 VCOM driver:
1.

Select "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)" and click Next.

Select "Specify a location".

Click Finish to finish installing the "BaudMaster USB Composite Device".
