CODING THE PAGER
Each AP4000EX pager is capable of learning up to three codes to monitor the original vehicle installation and optional
paging receivers installed in two other vehicles.
Step 1. Vehicle ignition must be OFF.
Step 2. Press and hold the reset switch on the pager, then turn its power switch ON. When the beeping stops, release
the reset switch.
Step 3. The RED LED will begin flashing. Within 5 seconds, press the reset switch 1 time. (*) The GREEN LED will
glow solid (**). Within 15 seconds, push the CALL button (***). The LED will turn off and the pager will chirp 2
times. Code learning is now complete.
NOTE (*) To code the pager for vehicle #2, press the reset switch 2 times. To code the pager for vehicle #3, press the
reset switch 3 times.
NOTE (**): If the 5 second time period is allowed to lapse after the RED LED begins to flash, the pager will
automatically return to its stand-by mode. If this happens, it will be necessary to start the code learning process again.
NOTE (***): The CALL button must be pushed with 15 seconds after the GREEN LED begins to glow. If the 15
second time period is allowed to lapse the pager will automatically return to its stand-by mode. If this happens, it will be
necessary to start the code learning process again.
THE CODE LEARNING MODE MUST BE ENTERED EACH TIME IF THE PAGER
IS TO BE PROGRAMMED INTO ADDITIONAL VEHICLES.
4. Turn on the pager. It will begin beeping and vibrating for approximately three (3) seconds. It will then automatically
reset itself in its receiving mode.
5. Test the pager with the vehicle's ignition switch off. If installed as a stand-alone system open the door on the vehicle,
or trigger any optionally installed sensor. In approximately three (3) seconds the pager will respond with a continuous
beeping sound, or continuous vibrating. Additionally, the LED inside the pager will blink in accordance to the particular
trigger.
