With the 3/8" bit

still in the drill, drill

the top and bottom

escutcheon trim

holes. Drill these

from both sides of

the drill guide.

Use a 1" hole saw to

drill the spindle hole.

Drill this hole to the

mortise pocket from

both sides of the

door. When drilling

back the hole saw

out a few times to

clear saw dust from

the cut.

Use a 1-1/4" hole

saw to drill the

mortise cylinder hole

on the outside of the

door. Again, back

the hole saw out a

few times to clear

saw dust from the

cut.
