SOLO
SYSTEM INSTALLATION
CONNECTION TO INTEGRATED AMPLIFIERS
(See graphic 4)
The SOLO can be directly driven by SPEAKER
LEVEL signals from the power output terminals of
integrated amplifiers and power amplifiers.
1. Connect the SPEAKER OUTPUT terminals of
your power amplifier or integrated amplifier
with the SOLO INPUT terminal
speaker cable which is configurated with a XLR
plug (male)

= GROUND

= SIGNAL (in phase)

= NOT used

2. The SOLO has one female XLR-INPUT
you use standard speaker cables with 4mm
connectors or spades, Avantgarde Acoustic™
offers as an option XLR-to-SPEAKER TERMINAL
adapters
. This adapter is a small box with
a 1,5m cable with XLR plug which fit into the
SOLO INPUT
. On its other side it has 2
high quality WBT SPEAKER TERMINALS to
fit your speaker cable. This way any speaker
cable can be directly used with the SOLO.

3. Only now, connect the AC power cords of the
components to a household AC outlet and
turn on the speaker.
CAUTION
 Never turn on the components with open
inputs!
ATTENTION
Should you use a so called "Digital Power Amp"
(e.g. in PWM mode) it is necessary to protect the
SOLO with a parallel resistor (e.g. 8.2 Ohms/10
Watts) between power amp and SOLO!
 It is strongly advised that you contact you
dealer, national distributor or Avantgarde Acoustic
for further information!
