The CUMPAN has two separate temperature detections:

The ambient temperature

Sensor integrated in supply line of the device, approx. 40mm from the housing

Adjustable temperature warning warns of icy conditions

The engine temperature

Sensor included in scope of delivery

Detection of the engine temperature either at the oil/cooling water circuit or at the

Engine housing

R P M d e t e c t i o n a n d s h i f t f l a s h

Dhe RPM is determined and evaluated via the so-called „crankshaft position sen-

sor". In every modern combustion engine, the position of the crankshaft must be

permanently determined in order to coordinate ignition timing and injection. The-

refore, all the necessary data is already available. Only the signal cable of the in-

stalled sensor has to be connected. The electronics of the vehicle are not affected.

tended continuously.
