The swing should hang straight (horizontally) after you have adjusted the length

minimum free space of 20% of the chain legth + 20cm between the edge of the swing seat
and the frame. There should be a minimum distance fo 30cm between two seats. There
should be a maximum of 2 swings per swing bay.

Identify hazards from vandalism, use or weather conditions (we recommend a recorded weekly or monthly
inspection according to the risk assessment). Check bolts and nuts are securely fastened. Check the shock
absorbing surface for objects that should not be there. Check for missing parts
1 - 3 Months / Operational Inspection
Check operation, stability, wear, and that pre-assembled parts are intact. Check swing seats, chains and
other means of attachment for evidence of deterioration. Check all coverings for bolts and sharp edges and
replace when required. Replace any defective parts. Oil all metallic moving parts. Check the stability of the
construction.
1 -2 Times per Year / Annual Main Inspection
Check long-term levels of safety. This inspection should be carried out by a qualified inspector.
