SECTION   2   –   D ISPLAY   C ONTROL   B UTTONS   A ND   S OFTKEYS  
Display   C ontrol   B uttons:     T hese   b uttons   a re   f ound   t owards   t he   t op   o f   t he   p hone,   u nder   t he  
five   s oftkeys.  
• Menu:     U sed   t o   v iew   f eatures   p rogrammed   o n   t he   s oftkeys.  
• Exit:   U sed   t o   e xit   t he   m enu,   o r   w hen   f inished   u sing   a   s oftkey   f eature.  
• <Prev:   U sed   t o   m ove   b ackwards   w ithin   t he   m enu.  
• Next>:   U sed   t o   m ove   f orwards   w ithin   t he   m enu.  
Softkeys:   T hese   a re   t he   f ive   b uttons   l abeled   w ith   a   t riangle   f ound   d irectly   u nder   t he   d isplay.  
These   b uttons   a re   p re-­‐ p rogrammed   w ith   c ertain   f eatures.     T o   a ccess   t he   f eatures,   p ress   t he  
menu   b utton.     T he   f irst   f ive   f eatures   w ill   a ppear   a bove   e ach   b utton.     T o   i nitiate   a   f eature   p ress  
the   b utton   d irectly   b eneath   i t.     T he   < Prev   a nd   N ext>   d isplay   c ontrol   b uttons   a re   u sed   t o   m ove  
between   a vailable   f eature   g roups.  
The   f eatures   a vailable   t hrough   t he   s oftkeys   a re:  
• Inspect:   A llows   y ou   t o   v iew   c all   i nformation   o n   a   c all   a ppearance   b utton   w ithout  
activating   t he   c all.     P ress   t he   I nspect   s oftkey   a nd   t hen   t he   c all   a ppearance   b utton   y ou  
wish   t o   i nspect.  
• Date:   S hows   t he   c urrent   d ate   a nd   t ime   o n   t he   d isplay.     T he   t ime   w ill   r emain   o n   t he  
screen.  
• Timer:   D isplays   a   r unning   c ount   o f   m inutes   a nd   s econds   o n   t he   s creen.  
• Call   P ickup:   G ives   t elephones   t he   a bility   t o   p ick   u p   a ny   r inging   l ine   w ithin   t heir   c all  
pickup   g roup.     I f   t here   i s   m ore   t han   o ne   c all   r inging   w ithin   t he   g roup,   t he   o ne   t hat   h as  
been   r inging   t he   l ongest   i s   a nswered.     P hones   a re   a ssigned   t o   c all   p ickup   g roups   b y  
Unified   C ommunications.     T his   f eature   c an   a lso   b e   p rogrammed   a s   a   f eature   b utton,   o r  
activated   t hrough   t he   u se   o f   a   f eature   c ode.  
• SAC   ( Send   A ll   C alls):   W hen   a ctivated,   t his   f eature   t emporarily   s ends   c alls   t hat   n ormally  
forward   w hen   y our   p hone   i s   b usy   o r   a fter   t hree   r ings   i mmediately.     F or   e xample,   i f   c alls  
are   n ormally   s end   t o   v oicemail   a fter   t hree   r ings,   t hey   w ill   b e   i mmediately   s ent   t o  
voicemail   a nd   w ill   n ot   r ing   y our   p hone.     W hen   t his   f eature   i s   a ctive,   y ou   w ill   s ee   a  
downward   f acing   t riangle   a bove   t he   S AC   s oftkey   l abel.  
• ACB   ( Automatic   C allback):     I f   y ou   r eceive   a   b usy   s ignal   w hen   d ialing   a nother   e xtension  
number   o n   c ampus,   a ctivating   t his   f eature   w ill   m onitor   t hat   n umber   a nd   r ing   y our  
phone   w hen   i t   b ecomes   a vailable.  
• CFwrd   ( Call   F orward):   T emporarily   s ends   c alls   t o   a nother   e xtension   o n   c ampus.     A fter  
pressing   t he   C fwrd   s oftkey,   e nter   t he   f ive   d igit   e xtension   y ou   w ish   t o   s end   y our   c alls   t o.    
Successfully   a ctivating   t his   f eature   w ill   r esult   i n   a   d ownward   f acing   a rrow   a ppearing  
above   t he   C Frwd   s oftkey   l abel.
