7. TROUBLESHOOT THE BODYSPA MODULE BATHING SYSTEM
This troubleshooting guide is for general aid only. A Kohler Authorized Service Representative or a qualified electrician
should correct all electrical problems. For warranty service, contact your dealer or wholesale distributor.
SYMPTOMS
1. BodySpa does not
start/stop.
2. Water flow surges.

PROBABLE CAUSES
A. No power to pump/control/control
switch.
B. Harness is blocked.
C. Control switch disconnected from
control box.
D. Faulty control switch.
E. Faulty circuit board.
F. Faulty motor/pump assembly.
G. Not enough water in bath.
A. Not enough water in bath.
B. Suction blocked.
C. Harness is blocked.
A. Jet is blocked.
A. Variable flow valve wiring error.
B. Labeled end of control switch cable
plugged into control box.
A. GFCI trips.
B. Motor overheated and protection
device activated.
A. Faulty timer mechanism.
B. Wiring error.
A. Pump straps have not been cut.
B. Not enough water in bath.
A. Faulty circuit board or wiring.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
A. Set/Reset GFCI breaker; check wiring
to pump/receptacle/control switch.
Refer to dealer/installer.
B. Remove blockage. Refer to
dealer/installer.
C. Reconnect control switch.
D. Replace control switch. Refer to
dealer/installer.
E. Replace circuit board inside control
box. Refer to dealer/installer.
F. Replace motor/pump assembly. Refer
to dealer/installer.
G. Fill bath 2" over suction cover.
A. Fill bath 2" over suction cover.
B. Remove obstruction.
C. Remove blockage. Refer to
dealer/installer.
A. Remove blockage. Refer to
dealer/installer.
A. Reverse variable flow valve wire
connections. Refer to dealer/installer.
B. Reverse cable so labeled end is
plugged into control switch. Refer to

A. Identify source of fault and correct.

Check for suction blockage. Remove

A. Replace timer board inside
pump/motor. Refer to dealer/installer.

A. Cut straps with tin snips.
B. Fill bath 2" over suction cover.
A. Replace circuit board or correct wiring
