The following instructions will help you
connect your LongView 1000
KVM extender.
For more detailed information, please consult
the installer/user guide.
About the LongView extender system
Supporting both PS/2 and USB connections,
the LongView 1000 extender family features a
local receiver (LV1000R) and either a PS/2 or
USB AMIQDM module capable of extending
keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) signals up
1000 feet (300 meters) using UTP cabling.
Initial setup
Place the LV1000R near your local keyboard,
monitor and mouse. The LV1000R can easily
be mounted to a wall or desk.

Connecting power
Plug the external power supply's 4-pin miniDIN
connector into the DC power (PWR) port on
the rear of the LV1000R. Connect a detachable
IEC power cord into the power supply and into
an appropriate wall outlet.

Connecting the local keyboard,
monitor and mouse
Plug your keyboard, monitor, mouse and/or
audio cables into the appropriate ports on
the LV1000R.
Extending your peripherals

Insert one end of a UTP cable into the RJ-45
port on the rear of the LV1000R. Route the

Connect the AMIQDM
module, monitor,
keyboard and mouse
connectors to the
server.

Connect the
LV1000R to a
wall outlet using
an appropriate
power cord.
External
Power
Supply
remote server, and attach the other end of the cable
to the AMIQDM module.

Connecting the AMIQDM module to a
remote server
Power down the server. Connect the AMIQDM
module monitor, keyboard and mouse connectors to
the appropriate ports on the back of the server.

For serial and/or audio functionality, connect the
