Quick Start Guide – Failover

1 . Verify Main Power Switch is in "ON" position .

2 . Plug PDN Lite

OOBM

• Battery power will initiate should power outage event occur .

3 . Activate gateway by pressing Standby Button near handle; LED inside

button will illuminate indicating the unit is active .

4 . Ensure Bridged Pass-through Port is terminated to head-end via Ethernet

cable as an available WAN source .

5 . Allow head-end network equipment to control failover in event that primary

ISP/WAN becomes unavailable .

Quick Start Guide – OOBM

1 . Verify Main Power Switch is in "ON" position .

2 . Plug PDN Lite

OOBM

• Battery power will initiate should power outage event occur .

3 . Terminate Console/OOBM port to console port of head-end networking

equipment to manage head-end/downstream equipment for out-of-band

management and diagnostics when device is otherwise unavailable due

to ISP/Primary WAN outage .

For field readiness, unit should be plugged in via AC power cord with

Main Power Switch "ON" while in storage . Confirm your PDN is charging

by observing the light activity in the Battery Gauge indicator .
