A06 Firmware Release Issues
The following issues may occur while using your PowerVault TL2000/TL4000
tape library:
•
Changing the library operation mode from random to sequential using
the Remote Management Unit (RMU) does not work without rebooting
the library.
It is recommended to take the library offline by removing it from the host
bus and rebooting the library for the settings to take effect.
•
Network changes require a reboot of the library.
Most network changes (changing the IP address, changing the Protocol
Stack, enabling/disabling DHCP, etc.) require a reboot of the library. In
such instances, a message saying Changes will take effect
after a reboot appears at the top and bottom of the screen. Other
changes made during this time may not require the reboot to take effect.
However, the message remains until a reboot is initiated from the remote
interface by clicking Service Library→ Reboot→ Reboot.
•
If the dual IP stack is enabled (IPv4 + IPv6), IPv6 addresses cannot be
configured in the Operator Control Panel (OCP) and must be
configured through the web interface.
IPv6 addresses can only be configured in the OCP if the IPv6-only stack is
enabled. If the dual stack is enabled, the IPv6 address must be configured
through the web interface (either using the IPv4 address or another known
IPv6 address).
