source
(and place
the Remote Contactor Control
switch,
if

ble,
in the
OFF
position).
11.
Place the wire
feeder POWER
switch in the
ON
position.
12.
Depress
the gun
trigger.
This
will
feed
the
welding
wire
through
the
gun. Release
the
gun
trigger
when the
welding
wire extends
approximately
one
inch
(25.4 mm)
out
of the
gun
tip.

Shut
down
welding
power
source,
and
place
wire
feeder POWER
switch in the
OFF
position.

to
be made without
exposing

POWER SWITCH
(Figure 5-1)
Placing
the
POWER
switch in the
ON
position supplies
115 volts
ac
to
the unit and
places
it in
an
operational
condition,
ready
to
feed
wire
and
permit
shielding
gas
to
flow.
Placing
the POWER switch in the
OFF
position
shuts down the wire feeder.

WIRE SPEED
CONTROL
(Figure
5-1)
The WIRE SPEED control is calibrated
in
percent
and
provides
a means
of
determining
the
rate at
which weld
ing
wire
feeds
into the weld.
Rotating
the WIRE
SPEED
control in
a
clockwise direction increases the
rate of
wire
feed. When the WIRE SPEED
control is
set at
0,
wire
feeds
at
a
rate
of 50
ri.
(1
3
m)
per minute: when
set at
100,
wire feeds
at
a
rate
of
575 in.
(14.6 m)
per minute.
