The radio: manual tuning
Radio stations can be tuned manually by selecting the station's
frequency or they can be preset into channels to make it easy to tune

ment, the frequency starts changing automatically and stops
when a station is found It may also stop if there is outside
interference Press and hold [Wh+*/-«*«] or [►►/►m/a]
again to restart You can also stop the frequency changing by
pressing [v/m-*/-m■) or [►►/►m/a]
TUNED" is displayed when a radio Staton is tuned
"ST" is displayed when a stereo FM broadcast is being
received

Adjust the volume.
If noise is excessive in FM
Press [FM MODE] to display "MONO".
This mode improves sound quality if reception is weak but broad¬
casts are heard in monaural
Press [FM MODE] again to cancel the mode
Leave "MONO" off for normal listening
Stereo and monaural broadcasts are automatically played as they
are received

The step is set to 0 2 MH

at the factory It can be changed to enable
the tuner to receive stations broadcast in 0 1 MHz steps
Any FM frequencies that have been preset will be changed by this
procedure Be sure to carry out presetting again
Press and hold [TUNER/BAND] After a few seconds the display
changes to a flashing display of the current minimum frequency Con¬
tinue to hold [TUNER/BAND] down When the minimum frequency
changes, release the button
